David Maughan
David Maughan brings over 50 years of experience as an mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and capital markets professional with a successful track record at major firms, as well as in entrepreneurial environments. His experience spans a multitude of industries, including: financial services and FinTech, mortgage finance, real estate, REITs, insurance, automotive and ride share, healthcare and life sciences, intellectual property, consumer finance, loan brokering, technology, manufacturing, aerospace and defense, entertainment and sports, energy and Infrastructure, agriculture and AgTech, and structured finance.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Maughan completed more than 100 sell-side and buy-side M&A transactions, in addition to numerous public and private capital raises. He also has experience as an Expert Witness in matters involving contracts, due diligence, fee disputes, disclosure issues, FINRA matters, bankruptcy, fiduciary responsibilities, valuations and fairness opinions, M&A and financing process issues, and damages.
Mr. Maughan earned a BBA from Bishop’s University and MBA from the University of Western Ontario.
